Each July the Pitt Birds has its annual picnic at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. In 2015 the Pitt Birds invited Thunderbird owners from around the country to join in the festivities. We had a grand display of 78 Thunderbirds on the third fairway adjacent to the Ford Motor Company display. On Saturday afternoon some attendees took a ride at speed around the track in a vintage race car. Several guests toured the Pit and Paddock area. On Sunday, we lined up the Thunderbirds and participated in a parade lap of the racetrack. We also viewed the other 2,000 show cars on the golf course and watched the race cars perform time trials on Saturday and races on Sunday.
